first 5 minutes

A short first session with the parts of the product that matter most.

  1. 1 · open the dashboard
    Sign in at /welcome and continue to your dashboard.
  2. 2 · start a problem
    Pick a random problem or open one from the library.
  3. 3 · check what to submit
    See whether the problem wants a choice, a number, an expression, or written work.
  4. 4 · show your work
    Guided problems walk you through ordered steps; free-response problems give you an editor for prose and math.
  5. 5 · submit when ready
    Read your marks, the feedback, the worked solution, and your Elo change.

Partial credit counts. On a guided or free-response problem, earning 4 of 6 marks scores 0.667 in the Elo formula, not a loss. Only your first submission for each problem changes your rating.
